Pricing
Therapy appointments range from $80 (group)—$200-$250 (individual sessions), depending on the service and provider.
Please call for specific pricing.
Workshops and Intensive Outpatient Programs vary; please check “Workshops and Seminars.”
We are a fee-for-service clinic and considered out-of-network for all services.
Our full fee is required at the time of visit.
We accept cash and all major credit cards.
We do take a limited number of sliding fee clients (based on need and scheduling flexibility).
Submitting to Insurance for Reimbursement
The reimbursement for out-of-network is better than ever because of the shortage of available providers in-network, and changes in laws requiring and encouraging insurance companies to provide more comprehensive coverage for mental health care.
Please call your insurance company to determine exactly how much each visit will cost. Insurance companies prefer to give this information to the insured rather than providers not in network, but we are happy to assist in helping you ask the right questions.
For out-of-network mental health services, many plans cover 60-90% of the “allowable rates that are customary and usual.” Therefore, if we charge $200 for your visit, the actual cost to you might be $20-80 per visit—not much different, or possibly even the same, as what your in-network copay might be.
We will provide claim forms to make this process as easy as possible.
Potential Benefits
There are potential benefits to working with a fee-for-service provider, which include
Greater privacy. Your medical records will never be easily accessible to other providers, support staff, or administrators as they are in a larger institution.
We only put the bare minimum in notes required for reimbursement—personal information is kept safely in the minds of your therapists.
And if you elect to pay fully out-of-pocket—and not submit for reimbursement, or have your payment go towards your deductible—HIPAA prevents even insurance companies from accessing your medical records. Therefore, you can keep all psychiatric diagnoses and treatments completely out of your permanent medical record and avoid all “pre-existing conditions.”
This should be appealing to anyone concerned about their privacy, high-profile clients, physicians, and/or other professionals who may sense real risk of being harmed for seeking help.
You can have access to your provider for sessions via telephone or skype, in addition to office visits.
And if you choose not to submit to insurance, your sessions and what we can do together will not be dictated by the “disease model of mental health,” and will not be limited by time or design.
Therefore, we can offer greater flexibility in creating the most personalized plan designed to help you and your family Live Life Much Better.
